For new construction

  • Verify that the building enclosure performs as intended for durability, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort; enhanced commissioning can help projects earn LEED points.

  • Engage with project stakeholders and design teams to provide expert guidance on highly technical challenges for a seamless design and construction process of a building’s exterior systems.

  • Perform QA/QC, Special Inspections, and/or Energy Code Progress Inspections during construction.

  • Oversee both visual and performance mock-ups, which include testing of a building model, prepare a report of findings and address any issues that arise. 

For existing buildings

  • Evaluate the physical condition of a building and its systems, identifying risks, optimizing maintenance, and ensuring smart investment decisions.

  • Help NY clients comply with regulations set forth by the NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) with respect to Local Law 11. Performing mandatory inspections, reporting, and ensuring buildings over six stories maintain facade safety and prevent hazardous conditions.

  • Analyze and diagnose failures in exterior systems - leaks, material degradation, structural issues - to determine root causes and recommend effective solutions.

  • Enhance existing structures by addressing deficiencies, improving performance, and adapting exteriors for modern aesthetics, energy efficiency, and compliance.

  • Perform mandated parapet inspections to ensure clients adhere to Local Law 126 in New York City.

CodeGreen provided comprehensive LEED Commissioning Services to support the new Samuel H. Scripps Theater Center for Hudson Valley Shakespeare, in collaboration with Studio Gang. Our team delivered a fully integrated approach, combining Building Enclosure Commissioning with Fundamental, Enhanced, and Monitoring-Based Commissioning for a seamless, high-performance project outcome.

399 Park Avenue

Partnering with BXP, CodeGreen’s building enclosure and environmental teams performed a tracer gas study to investigate an intermittent odor issue at 399 Park Avenue. Leveraging building science expertise and advanced diagnostic methods, we traced the odor’s pathway and developed a targeted remedial action plan to resolve the problem.

With 13 years of experience in building enclosure consulting, inspection, and commissioning, he specializes in fenestration and exterior wall systems across commercial, residential, and industrial projects. His expertise spans from new construction to building forensics, offering practical, solution-based support throughout the design, construction, and rehabilitation phases.
